Parametric left ventricular heart simulation

We developed a software tool for generating left and/or right heart ventricle based on provided parameters such as ventricle heights, radiuses, wall thickness.

The tool for creating a heart model expects from the user to define some dimensions and mesh specific parameters in the input file.

In order to generate example of left ventricle,  as realistic as possible, we created parametric type of model with specific parts- base part, valves (aortic and mitral) and connecting part (connection between base and valves; Figure 1). Every part has its length and radius, as well as number of layers (division) in every part. Some of the results for velocity, pressure, displacement in different time steps for heart cycle are presented in Figures 3-6.
